It’s Thursday! That means it is time for some Thinking Out Loud! So ready for this because I have a ton of stuff to share!
I’m so pumped about Netflix reviving Gilmore Girls! I think most fans have wanted a better ending and the cast has always seemed on board with that as well. The only thing I’m disappointed about is that Melissa McCarthy may not be back to play Sookie. How can you not have Sookie?! Even Lane loves Gilmore Girls, so it really is a show for everyone.
Somehow this week an old story came up about how someone once told me that I reminded him of Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie (don’t ask – I’m also not sure if it was supposed to be a compliment or an insult). I don’t think I’ve shared this here before and it isn’t new, but I LOVE this interview with Dustin Hoffman about why he did Tootsie and how it wasn’t a comedy for him. It makes me love him even more!
Lane and I are confirmed for our trip to NYC in December! We will be spending a few days there before the St. Jude Marathon in Memphis! I’m so excited to show him why I am so in love with NYC at Christmas. I’m not so secretly hoping for a little snow, but I’ll take what I can get. We are trying to pick out a Broadway show to see while we are there. We saw Jersey Boys and Phantom of the Opera last time we were there, what should we see this time?
While we were in Minneapolis, I let Susan try my RMS Beauty “Un”Cover-Up. I use it as concealer and most days that and some moisturizer are all I use on my face. I love that it is made with coconut oil and a little bit goes a long way. I am usually all about trying new products but this is one that I have bought several times because I love it so much. Susan just told me that she bought it too and loves it! I also really want to try their Luminizer and Lip & Skin Balm (because I’m obsessed with lip balm).
So you’re gonna keep hearing about this for a bit, but Go Royals! They’ve had a tough loss tonight, but we only need one more game for the win.
I’ve been wanting to take Lane somewhere on a trip for him. I know he loves going wherever I want to go for races and always enjoys those trips, but I always feel like they end up being about me because I’m the one racing. He loves photography (and is excellent at it!) and I was looking at photo workshops to take him to and I’m thinking this one looks awesome. I’ve wanted to go to Banff for a long time so selfishly, I chose the location because I loved it, but I know he would too. And these photo tours look great!
What Broadway shows would you like to see or would you recommend? Who is excited about the Gilmore Girls revival? Have you ever been told you look like a celebrity?
