A New Challenge, a Happy Reminder and Fun News!

This week is flying! I can’t believe it is already Thursday! Thanks to my Facebook, I got the reminder that Lane and I got engaged four years ago this weekend in Seattle! The photo above is from the day we got engaged! Such a happy reminder!  It’s Thursday, which means it is time for some Thinking Out Loud!

I was having a hard time sleeping the other night and got sucked into thredUP. I know that didn’t help my sleeping situation because I got sucked into seeing what there was available. I haven’t bought anything yet but am kinda obsessed with scrolling thru it and I totally see the appeal. Name brand stuff for way discounted prices?! Count me in!

I was super excited to find out that I was accepted as a Swiftwick Socks Ambassador! My Swiftwick socks are my absolute favorite and are always my go to socks for races and long runs in particular. I never have any issues with blisters with them and they don’t move around on my foot, which I love. I can’t wait to increase my collection (anyone else obsessed with new socks??) and I’m pretty sure Lane is going to be getting more too! I think I’m most excited to try their compression socks. So cool!

Lane and I have a million and one birthdays over the summer. Within a one month period, we have three nephews and one niece with a birthday. In fact, today is our nephew Noah’s birthday and this weekend we are having a joint birthday for the summer birthdays on my side of the family!

Am I the only one that feels like when I run out of one thing, I run out of EVERYTHING? I think I ran out of nearly all of my makeup in the same week. I decided to give into Susan’s suggestions and I ordered several new things from MAC. I love their foundation and powder, and their brow pencil was the first one I ever used and it is easily my favorite I’v ever had. It’s been awhile since I’ve gotten anything from there, so I had to test a few colors to make sure I was ordering the right color (really, who was I kidding, I’m always the lightest shade!). I also tried their new color correcting creams, which so far I really love! I got Adjust and Neutralize (per Susan’s suggestions – basically I just order what she says she likes!)

Trying to pick a color!

Lane shared this video with me yesterday and it is so cute! So worth the watch!

You all know how much I love Gilmore Girls, I have to say when I saw this, I was super tempted to buy half of these things. Who can’t use Gilmore Girls gear?!

Since I did the 2015 miles in 2015 challenge, I was on the Run the Edge email list and I was sent info on the Amerithon Challenge. Even though I didn’t want to commit to the 2016 miles in 2016 challenge, I’m very interested in doing the Amerithon Challenge. It is committing to doing 3,521 miles, the distance from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Washington Monument. There is really no time limit (even though they recommend a year) and I love the idea that I can use walking, swimming, biking, running – any kind of miles count! Also, the medal is really sweet!

Do you like fitness challenges to keep you motivated? Do you feel like when you run out of one thing, you run out of everything? Do you have a favorite kind of socks?
